I n 2016, Haley Altman left her law firm partnership to found Doxly, a transaction management platform that modernized the deal process. As CEO, she transformed a paper-based workflow into a collaborative digital experience. After Doxly's acquisition by Litera in 2019, Haley became Head of Corporate Development, leading ten acquisitions and integrating technologies to streamline legal workflows. In 2022, she transitioned to a strategic advisor role, where she identified the potential of generative AI (GenAI) and partnered with the former CTO and co-founder of Foundation and co-developed two GenAI products, Lattice and Dragon. Dragon extracts critical deal point data trapped in DMS documents, turning a manual process into an insights-driven database to help find precedent and enhance negotiation capabilities. Lattice enables cross-database search, helping legal teams answer complex questions without switching systems. Haley also advises several legal tech startups, focusing on innovation and problem-solving. At Litera, she helped transform M&A operations by leveraging tools like Transact, Kira, Dragon, and a drafting suite to enhance deal execution. To accelerate GenAI product development, she adopted a start-up mindset—working outside standard processes, and prioritizing customer feedback.
