Influential Women in Legal Tech / N I K K I S H A V E R An industry-recognized, global thought leader with over 20 years of experience, Nikki is a frequent speaker, writer, and commentator published in Modern Lawyer, The National Law Review, Law360, LawNext Media, Above the Law, Bloomberg Law, and more. She regularly provides strategic advisory services to law firms, corporate legal departments, legal technology providers, private equity firms, and venture capitalists seeking to understand the legal technology landscape. These experiences inform her revolutionary book, The Handbook for Legal Innovation, released in 2023. Her research prioritizes ways to drive change and cultivate curiosity about adopting new processes and technology, and assists legal professionals in envisioning a future where everyone with a legal problem can access and afford legal services and support. Nikki attributes Legaltech Hub's rapid success to supportive, collaborative, and creative team of 20 individuals, primarily women, united in their commitment to positively influence the industry. She is particularly passionate about ensuring that women continue to play a key role in legal tech's evolution, shown by the mentoring programs Nikki creates to support women in and entering the industry. Nikki is an adjunct professor at Cardozo Law School in New York, a fellow of the College of Law Practice Management, sits on the advisory board of the Vanderbilt AI Law Lab (VAILL), and was formerly a mentor through the University of Miami Law School LWOW program. She serves on the organizing committee for the New York Legal Tech MeetUp group the advisory board of the Legal AI Trust Alliance, and was instrumental in designing the VALS Legal AI Report. A long-term ILTA volunteer and respected community leader, Nikki facilitated Legaltech Hub's collaboration with ILTA to power the ILTA sponsor directory, where all ILTA members can access current information about the global community of legal technology solution providers through a powerful search device.
