ILTA'S 2024 DE+I CLIMATE SURVEY REPORT ILTANET.ORG/DEI 12 Starting with the negative sentiment received on the survey, some specific comments exemplify the perception that ILTA should not be focusing on DEI- related efforts: • not only are they irrelevant, they take the focus away from legal technology • They 're annoying and causing division. Treat everyone the same. If your membership is paid, you're a valuable member. That's it. • Not relevant at all. I am attending for technology trends and networking. If DEI is the focus, then I am out. • You are inventing a problem that doesn't need solving. Talented people will excel, and it is unnecessary to talk about irrelevant factors like race, sex, sexual orientation, gender issues, age, national origin, etc. We don't need to be hit over the head about respect for others who are different from us because the vast majority of us already do that and aren't discriminating.
