In March 2023, Caryn and the G+T Innovate team hosted I n n ov a t e 2 3 , a n i n - p e r s o n f u l l - d a y c o n fe r e n c e fo r i n - house clients to support them on their transformation and technology journeys. Innovate23 was an industry-first legal operations conference presented by a law firm for in-house legal clients. The meeting focused on transforming in-house legal operations, displaying global developments through case studies, and providing practical technology selection and implementation strategies. Caryn shifts a standard narrative in the legal industry around reserving professional development and talent training resources for practicing lawyers. She heavily invests in career development and leadership opportunities for her LSI team, including developing a team capability framework. She pioneered an industry-first LSI clerk and graduate rotation to encourage growth and bolster talent within the sector. Caryn presented at over 30 webinars/sessions for LegalTech conferences, Australian Corporate Counsel, College of Law, Centre of Legal Innovation, and various universities in 2023. She delivered a new and dedicated module on innovation and legal technology for the Law Society of NSW's Practice Management Course. In May 2024, Caryn began her second term as co-chair of the Advisory Board for the Centre of Legal Innovation. Caryn was heavily involved with supporting the Women in Australian Legal Technology Association and spoke at their events. She endeavors to lead with ambition, embracing change and sharing her acquired knowledge with the industry as one of Australia's most prominent thought leaders in legal technology.
