Fully funded by the College of Law, CLI and Terri work with faculty committed to educating and transforming the legal ecosystem. CLI's work is to raise awareness about what is transforming law, the tools that enable it (tech/AI), the people you need to get it done (capabilities), and best practices from industry leaders. In February 2023, CLI launched its Legal Generative AI Initiative. The kick-off event in March hosted 17 roundtables with lawyers (private, corporate, and government), allied legal professionals , legal educ ators (ac ademic s , prac ademic s , and clinicians), law students, access to justice professionals, and regulators from across the Australian legal ecosystem. The initiative grew into CLI's AI for Legal Series, with a Legal Generative AI Summit in October, the Legal Generative AI Summit 202 3 Repor t , a CLI Distinguishe d Fellowship in Emerging Technologies, a Legal Gen AI Clinic, and a global community on LinkedIn. The initiative will continue to expand in 2024. Terri was recognized in the IWD Women Lawyers Association of Queensland 2022 Inspo List for her unwavering support and encouragement of women in law. She is Chair of the Queensland L aw Societ y Innovation Commit tee and was recently appointed Chair of their new Generative AI in Legal TERRI MOTTERSHEAD Awards & Certifications Chair, Queensland Law Society Generative AI in Legal Practice Joint Working Group (2024) Global Female Founder Finalist, Australian Legal Technology Association (ALTA) Awards (2022) Member, CLOC Global Education Advisory Council (2021) Chair, Queensland Law Society Innovation Committee (2021) Innovator of the Year Award Finalist, Lawyers Weekly Women in Law (2021) Australian representative on the Asia-Pacific Legal Innovation & Technology Association (ALITA) Advisory Board (2019) Fellow, College of Law Practice Management (2018) Oceania Ambassador, World Legal Summit (2018) Practice Joint Working Group.
