Influential Women in Legal Tech / A L M A A S A Y between attorneys, legal technology solution providers, and other industry partners. She has a vast understanding of how different law firms approach legal technology. At Crowell, Alma's contributions include standing up the firm's first data warehouse, building out the firm's first subscription legal technology offering, working closely with legal tech providers to improve adoption and the value of legal technologies, implementing a monthly series of "Innovation Insights" presentations, serving as a resource for client legal ops teams to use legal technology to achieve their objectives, and leading the firm's approach to how we incorporate generative AI (Gen AI) into legal practice in responsible ways. Alma strives to vocalize successes and failures so others can learn from her experiences. She continues to see the impact of this practice as she fosters connections with others throughout the industry. Mentorship has always been tremendously important to Alma. She did not enter the legal sector with connections or a clear destination. However, she was fortunate to have a mentor and others along the way who recognized her potential and shared their wisdom, cache, and connections. As one of the first female founders in the current wave of legal innovation, Alma provides mentorship and insight to other female founders and does not take their trust in her lightly. She joined ILTA's myMentor program in 2023, hopeful of finding a structured and more formal way to support others within the industry. Alma has always admired Monica Bay and how her work elevated women across the legal tech sector. Following in her footsteps, Alma took on responsibility for the "Women of Legal Tech" series for Legaltech News. She's honored by the opportunities to connect with and elevate the profiles of women in legal tech. Alma is passionate about providing resources and mentorship that make a difference in women's professional journeys in legal tech.
