A s an attendee, you may not be aware of the incredible journey that ILTA's event team has embarked on over the past four years. But trust me when I say, we've been through quite the adventure! From the unexpected twists and turns of the pandemic to the resounding triumph of adapting and reinventing (let's never say the word "pi-ot" ever again), we've arrived at a new event planning world, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome you back with open arms. Do you remember those pre-pandemic days when events were vibrant gatherings filled with laughter, music, and togetherness? Ah, the memories! But then, the world changed, and events, and the world, ground to a halt. It felt like a collective pause button had been pressed, leaving us all longing for those moments of celebration. We refused to let the spirit of events fade away. Instead, we rolled up our sleeves and dove headfirst into the virtual realm. We learned to deepen connections through screens, bringing people together in new and innovative ways. Virtual galas, surprise party packages, and virtual happy hours became the new norm, reminding us that the essence of events lies in the connections we forge. As we return to meeting in person, we stand at the threshold of a new chapter. We are emerging from the virtual events of the past, ready to create more robust and authentic forms of connection. The virtual realm served as a temporary bridge, but there's nothing quite like the joy of being physically present, surrounded by a sea of smiling faces. In this new event planning world, we celebrate the power of happenstance and serendipity to create genuine human interaction. We've reimagined events to prioritize authentic connections and shared experiences. As you step into in-person gatherings, expect the warmth of laughter, the electricity of live music, and the sheer joy of being in the presence of others who share your excitement. We've missed your laughter, your energy, and the magic that fills the air when people come together. The future is brighter than ever, and events are returning with a renewed sense of purpose. We've taken the lessons learned during the pandemic and applied by Tracie McCray
