Idealism: Initial Roadmap
I advised my employer last September that I will retire before my 65th birthday (October 2023). I started
thinking through my next adventure. I would pass on what I know and start to travel, read, cook, knit,
maybe plan a project or two….
Then I read a few LinkedIN posts about people I have known for at least 20+ years, who were or had
just retired. There were no real surprises, just the usual congratulations posts, good wishes, etc What did
surprise me was that I was left with multiple questions.
Will these people I have worked with and had adventures with, disappear from my life because the
work connection is gone?
