80 P E E R T O P E E R : I L T A ' S Q U A R T E R L Y M A G A Z I N E | S U M M E R 2 0 2 3 Events Update The last few years are in the rearview mirror, and although every year comes with its own challenges, our challenge is a wonderful change this year. It looks as if the world has turned a corner, and we are now working with a new norm that is promising and full of potential. Normally, I talk about events and what is ahead, and this article is no different, except, we get to talk about change. We all cringe a little when the topic of change and change management comes up, but for me there is a newness on the horizon with the talk of the REIMAGINE PROJECT. What IS this you ask? It is an opportunity for you to get involved. The REIMAGINE PROJECT, will look at ILTACON, (as well as a few of our other events), evaluate what works well, what doesn't, what has aged and should be given a face-lift, what needs to be added, or rearranged, or... how it should look for a successful future. This is not a quick project. It is a project that will bring in future trends for events such as ours, technology, industry standards, past data points, and more. Throughout the year you will see micro-volunteering opportunities, surveys you can participate in, focus groups to take part of, and of course, a place to throw ideas and things you've experienced at other conferences, that you would like us to explore. Stay on the lookout for these opportunities and help shape our future. As the temperatures rise that can only mean one thing, we are closer to ILTACON. We are back at the Swan and Dolphin in Orlando this year Dawn Hudgins SVP of Service Delivery ILTA As we begin the second half of 2023, I cannot tell you how excited I am. I am over the top and ready to rock! M E M B E R R E S O U R C E S and adding the properties of Yacht and Beach. This is a huge footprint property with a campus model. I strongly advise you to take a moment and review the webinars that have been recorded to help you get acclimated to what is where. (That also means bring good shoes!) ILTACON is packed this year with great educational sessions, multiple opportunities for networking including the following: Sunday Collaboration Sessions, Opening Reception, Opening Session with LegalBytes, great keynotes all four days (and some new experiments!), Exhibit Hall grand opening with a theme of The Ultimate Tailgate Party, The Cocktail and Comedy Lounge will be open Tuesday and Wednesday, Yoga, a 5K Run, Focus Groups for ILTA's Strategy 'My ILTA', Focus Groups for Reimagining ILTACON, Corporate Day is back, lots of Business Partner opportunities and our closing reception of Hot Tropical Nights with the Silky Smooth Band. ILTACON will be amazing this year, and I am so excited to see you there. As we look toward Autumn, we will be in London twice. In September we are partnering for a Legal Security Conference, so stay tuned for more information on this event. ILTACON Europe will continue in November with a half day on the 15th and a full day on the 16 of great speakers, education, and of course networking at the infamous Allen and Overy in London. We look forward to seeing you there.
