Summer ushers in our busiest season at ILTA...
which is an odd thing to type, knowing how busy it has been for the last few months... last
few years... but Summer is really when I feel like we ramp ILTA events and content up to
a whole new level!
On the ever-nearing horizon, we have ILTACON and ILTACON Europe, and we've
just emerged from LegalSEC Summit and many of our one-day and virtual events. Our
volunteers, members, valued business partners, and professional staff have been working
around the clock to continue to provide the best-in-class education and legal technology
content that our 25,000+ members look for and need to do their daily jobs.
ILTA Publications and Surveys has been busy since our last issue of Peer to Peer....
With the publication of the all-new and industry-first Cybersecuirty Benchmarking
Survey, we partnered with our friends at Conversant to make sure that our industry was
aware of the threat actors and was then poised to act and empower #legaltechnologists.
We're partnered with ACEDS and Everlaw to produce a fantastic new member
survey on E-Discovery! It's open for participation now and it will be published at
ILTACON!
Further, we've opened our 2023 Technology Survey for participation (we also have
a session on the preliminary data at ILTACON!!), are about to open our Litigation and
Practice Support Survey for participation (we also have a session on the preliminary data
at ILTACON!!), and our 2023 Travel Survey has launched! Further, down the line this
year, we will launch our revamped Staffing and Compensation Salary and an all-new
Knowledge Management Survey; both of these will have case studies and white papers!
We are moving swiftly, accurately, and with an eye to the current news cycle, in order to
provide ILTANs with the content that they need to continue their legal tech education.
This issue of Peer to Peer, perhaps one of our most inclusive in years, highlights some
of the new and amazing ways our community is coming together, raising each other up,
and learning in new and innovative ways. From columns to podcasts, tons of new videos
for our events, and much more, I think this issue really gets to the core of what makes
ILTA, ILTA.
Knowing that life is ever-changing, and that time is a very precious commodity in
this very digital world, I hope you take a moment to ingest what our amazing authors and
contributors have to offer; your legal tech education should be like generative AI: always
learning. Boldly, we go. Enjoy the read. ILTA
