How did you get interested in the field you are currently in? I graduated from college at the height of the Seattle Dot-Com Bust, and somehow found my way into working for a small and scrappy start-up company called Knowledge Mosaic. The products we created were designed for attorneys and financial professionals working on securities compliance. For that work, I traveled all over the country to meet with law firm librarians, and found a professional network of welcoming, inclusive, professional, intellectual and deeply-curious people as a result. Law Librarianship is a profession that is about constant learning, every day bringing new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow, and that aligns with how my brain is wired and what motivates me. What led you to your career? Was there a defining moment? My time with Knowledge Mosaic was certainly formative—in providing research support directly to attorneys, I learned how much I love researching and finding the proverbial "needle in the haystack." I enjoy work that evolves and changes, always presenting new challenges, and librarianship is exactly that.
