How did you get interested in the field you are currently in? My career path has been more opportunistic rather than strategic. I was initially practicing law, but a geographical move precipitated a career change to legal sales. And in that role, I created professional connections with BakerHostetler. I have been a member of both the Legal Research and the Legal Content Services teams at BakerHostetler; my current position is Training and Content Integration Manager. I am so fortunate that I have two extremely supportive managers both of whom I view as mentors and role-models; they recognize the personal strengths of their team members and generously provide opportunities to grow professionally. What led you to your career? Was there a defining moment? When I was in high school, an uncle once made a comment that with my extroverted personality I would find success in a career which complimented my social and communication skills. (He predicted news anchor. I chose law school.) As a lawyer I learned legal literacy. As a solutions consultant for a legal sales company, I advanced my research skills and gained perspective in negotiating contracts. In both those roles, I was client-facing every day.
