I L T A S U R V E Y R E S U L T S | L I T I G A T I O N A N D P R A C T I C E S U P P O R T 3 W elcome to the 2022 Litigation and Practice Support Survey results! We appreciate the responses we received – our distribution provided a great snapshot of how smaller to medium sized firms handle Litigation and Practice Support. We are about 50:50 in the responses between 1-100 and 101-500 attorney firms – that data supports the assumption that respondents are firms that are large enough / do enough litigation that they have litigation support specialist position(s). This distribution of firms with less than 500 attorneys total helps us keep the evaluation inclusive of smaller-to-medium size firms who generally do have systems for evaluating success of litigation support work regardless of whether they do report on those numbers. As those who work in litigation and practice support can attest, smaller firms have unique challenges that include (1) Processes are knowledge-based and not necessarily documented processes – attorney support is consistent but may not be documented as policy / processes.
