To remain relevant to you, we now need to reach out to our stakeholders to better understand both current pressing and emerging needs. • What outcomes do you hope to see as a result of ILTA's DEI efforts? How can ILTA help you advance DEI in your own organizations and work life? How might future ILTACONs be a catalyst for change? Most importantly, what sort of change should ILTA strive for? Supporting Stakeholders: Helping Stakeholders "At Home" One of the key themes from our previous outreach was that stakeholders wanted support in bringing DEI issues back to their own organizations. Stakeholders wanted to better understand what roles they could play closer to home, and how they can influence change. The DEITF hopes to empower and support our stakeholders by providing the knowledge and tools to make meaningful change in their communities. We'd like our stakeholders to know that they can receive support from the DEITF that will help the make more of an impact at their firms/organizations. We encourage everyone to join and regularly visit the DEITF ILTA Community. Please post your questions, concerns, and issues there. To further support this theme, we will "crowdsource" information and elicit discussions. Every two weeks (starting in January, 2022), we will post one question – starting with those on the list below – on the DEITF and Open Communities. The authors and other DEITF members will take turns moderating and responding to contributions to these questions. We hope many of our stakeholders will respond with their thoughts and suggestions. In the meantime, we ask you to start considering how you might respond to questions like the following: • Are you easily able to find the DEI resources we've listed? How can we make them more accessible? • What sort of resources would you like the DEITF to provide? • More about general DEI issues? • Do you have ideas for articles, podcasts, or online content? • Can you recommend any content you've consumed to our members? • Are there any DEI issues you believe are unique to your area of work or practice? For example, do trainers experience DEI differently than service desk, or knowledge managers? • How would you like to see sessions at ILTACON address DEI? • Have you experienced micro-aggressions? Please share your story and how you handled the situation. • Have you experienced overt bias? How did you respond? How did your organization respond? D E I T F S E R I E S
