Test out the site so you understand how each person – defendant, attorney, magistrate, etc. – will experience it. For example, can drivers make a payment within the platform or are they sent to a separate site? How robust is the ODR provider's customer service? • Future needs: Learn whether the platform can be customized to fit not only your current needs but also accommodate your future needs. Consider other use cases beyond traffic citations, such as civil cases. Some ODR providers claim to offer customization but only offer limited options while others will re-code the platform to meet your court's needs. Conclusion With online dispute resolution, courts can handle cases fairly and efficiently while increasing collaboration, improving workflows and reducing workloads. ODR enables courts to not only meet current needs but ensure they are poised to meet future requirements as well. Offering greater efficiency and greater access to justice, ODR is here to stay.
