What is the greatest
#legaltechnology challenge that
you've faced in 2020 (so far)?
James McKenna: Tactically, getting hundreds of people who had never worked from home
the necessary equipment and helping them learn how to "remote in". And strategically, creating
meaningful content and enhanced client service in a "we will not meet in person" world.
Ginevra Saylor: Helping people rummage through their tech tool box to find and apply the right
solution for the task, job or challenge at hand – especially in such unusual and uncertain times.
Chris Hunt: Managing the various video conferencing platforms (and explaining why we prefer
one over the others) and getting attorneys and staff up to speed quickly on collaboration tools that
they haven't had to really use before (such as Microsoft Teams).
Angela Dowd: Helping people to find ways of getting their work done and maintain high client-
service and by using existing tools differently (possibly more effectively) or quickly implementing
new tools.
Jack Thompson: The ability to use technology when no one else has to support and align a large
diverse group of individuals and expect expertise overnight. Bandwidth and time spent managing
bandwidth were a challenge, however proven to be adaptive to any situation.
Kara Portwood: No, question about it…COVID-19! We have had to be nimble while keeping
security and client service at the top of our list. Our users have had to learn new ways of working
and being creative with the resources available.
Chris Boyd: For any given meeting, figuring out whether to use Webex, Zoom, RingCentral, MS
Teams, Jabber, FaceTime, Duo, or just a plain old conference call number.
Joy Heath Rush: Based on feedback from our members, it has been helping people be productive
working from home who have never, ever worked from home
