9 I L T A N E T . O R G thoughtful leadership - where we can be smart, decisive, thorough and yet nimble, empathetic and supportive. To those not already familiar with the annual ILTA Technology Survey – I definitely wanted to tell you about it. As a method for visualizing trending data for decades, the survey provides a resource to leaders both as a general overall picture of legal technology, but is also a resource to locate providers other firms use or are considering, see other providers with legal clients, and ascertain players in a new market when considering a new technology tool. Recently, it has provided a benchmark into cloud adoption in the legal industry and legal technology leaders rely on its information to plan and budget for the upcoming year. Watch for the results to be published in the Fall of 2020! In 2020 as we have transformed and will continue to transform the disruption into innovation that is our new reality. We can identify challenges and create a future to answer new questions, resolve challenges and update 2021 planning to address its needs. ILTA has adopted #CreatingTheFutureTogether to work with its members and provide a stage so we can all understand the value that technology now has with our remote workforce, how we can adhere to requirements and re-open offices when it is advisable and work in our new parameters. As always, ILTA is peer powered and this journey will be one where we shape the legal technology community and make meaningful connections. As a community, will see the value of technology impacted in the future, we will learn best practices to embrace formerly unacceptable behavior (remote working, web meetings, virtual court hearings, etc.) and, not only overcome the challenges, thrive and succeed. ILTA Cindy MacBean is Litigation Support Manager at Honigman LLP. Cindy is a highly-experienced Litigation Support professional who has recommended technology solutions to support discovery workflow to provide innovative, appropriate and cost-effective solutions in law firms, their clients and corporate legal staff. In addition to her MBA in Technology Management, she maintains certifications in eDiscovery (CEDS), Information Governance (IGP) and US/Europe Privacy (CIPP/US, CIPP/E). The Relationship Coordinating Team ("RCT") is comprised of former Member Liaisons ("MLs"), who now volunteer to support the current 80-plus MLs in their efforts to bring content, social events, and networking to ILTA members. The RCT provides ILTA with critical feedback from the MLs in the form of programming ideas, suggestions for streamlining communication, and how the MLs and RCT can best serve as ambassadors of ILTA. The 2020 RCT volunteer members are: Jeff Richards, Catherine McPherson, Melanie Prevost, and Asima Macci, with Kirk Scruggs serving as interim member. Vanessa Lozzi spearheads the RCT in her role as Program Planning Council (PPC) Liaison. We're a small but passionate group who virtually meet every month to collaborate on how we can best support the MLs. Important ongoing work includes conducting orientation meetings to welcome new MLs and hosting quarterly mentoring calls to further support them in attaining their goals. We also continue work on specific RCT initiatives, many were outlined during Ascend2020. One of our goals is to communicate to the ILTA membership who we are and what we do; this article is the first in the series. Other initiatives include coordinating with ILTA Ambassador Group to engage, enhance, and grow the membership; and perhaps our most important project is working with ILTA staff to streamline local meeting and "Insider Insights" (aka Roadshows) processes. 2020 poses challenges to all of us but we remain dedicated to serve our MLs and ILTA. Be well! ILTA
