data while at the other the litigators are sending data out
the door. A service provider should be able to identify and
remediate any gaps of this type. They will demand to explore
many different sources to collect, analyze and remediate the
situation. When these steps are skipped, we have seen clients
making costly, rush decisions because elements of their data
governance were not anticipated with consequent damage to
the workflow.

their data is and convincing them to follow the recommended
workflow is a big piece of any project. This means that a
service provider candidate should demonstrate they have
the communication skills and understanding to guide your
organization through this period of adaptation. Look for
a rounded set of expertise covering law, technolo and
data; critical thinkers who are not shy of asking questions
that allow them to anticipate potential pain points; a team
that is able to convince and persuade the skeptical; and an
organization that will continue to support you and your key
players throughout the process. ILTA
