About the Authors April Heimerl has 20 years of comprehensive experience in consulting, technology, and project management. She joined Fish & Richardson in 2014 as a Senior Business Solutions Architect. April previously managed the Litigation IT project portfolio, and recently transitioned her role to manage the Patent and Trademark IT project portfolio. Her ability to decipher complex business problems and develop meaningful requirements, resulting in successful solutions for the firm has proven valuable. She has worked on various projects that include, custom development, third party implementations, and SharePoint. In 2016, April was part of the team for the project awarded the 2016 ILTA Project of the Year-Internal Facing. She is an active participant at ILTA and member of the Practice Management Content Coordinating Team. Holly Hannah is an experienced technologist who cares passionately about the end user experience. I interact equally well with developers and marketers, and take an enormous amount of pride in a job well done. I love to talk about the great solutions my team is building and how they improve the effectiveness of our clients. Brittany Ivy is the Business Process Analyst Supervisor in the Technology, Analytics, and Process Services department. Her focus is to provide business process management services to the firm. She joined the Wilson Law Firm in 2011, beginning her career in an operational department and working in various process areas throughout her career. She is the leader of the firm's Professional Advancement, Compliance, and Ethics Committee and a member of the Leadership Committees. She graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a BBA in Management in 2014.. Anne L. Christman is a 17 year legal professional and obtained her credential as a Certified Paralegal® through NALA. She is a paralegal at Shook, Hardy & Bacon L.L.P. in the General Liability Litigation division. Anne earned the bulk of her experience in a previous 13-year position as Law Firm Administrator for a small law firm at which she literally helped to build from the ground up. There, Anne was responsible for all aspects of the firm's smooth operation, including all firm hardware, software, and telecommunications solutions, from research to selection to testing to configuration and deployment, as well as the financial management of the firm, firm operations, firm marketing, and talent acquisition, all in addition to her role as a paralegal. Anne is an active participant on ILTA's Practice Management Content Coordinating Team, and participated in ILTA's Law Firm Capabilities Reference Model Project for ILTACON in August. Anne is also actively involved with the International Association of Privacy Professionals for which she presently serves as Textbook Editor for the Second Edition of the Certified Information Privacy Technologist Textbook. Leon Carney Leon Carney is a New York-qualified attorney with 14 years of experience in electronic discovery. After a career on the law firm side, managing multi-district as well as cross-border litigation projects, he recently saw the (non-denominational) light and moved over to the vendor side. He is a Senior Project Manager with Lighthouse in New York City.
