The impulse for a few AI vendors to have it work "like magic", we don't think will benefit them in the long run. QA for Legal AI is growing into maturity. Something to watch for!! A Great New Resource Evaluating Options!! A new report will be launched at ILTACON, the industry's first comprehensive review of AI-based legal technolo companies. The report, which provides a deep level analysis quantifying the efficacy of AI-based legal technologies, is being launched by industry expert Brad Blickstein and veteran legal journalist Erin Harrison (Legaltech News, InsideCounsel). Combined, they have more than four decades of experience delivering independent information and analysis to the legal community. The report will cut through the hype to help law firms and law departments evaluate options for deploying AI solutions for specific use cases. https://blicksteingroup.com/legal-ai-efficacy-report/. Brad's thoughts on the state of Legal AI – "There has never been more noise in the legal technolo marketplace about anything as there is today about AI. For the first time in memory, GCs and managing partners are asking their operations and technolo teams about an underlying technolo. They are asking 'What is our AI strate?'" But is that the right question? The focus should be on solutions. The report — which will be subscription-based with no pay-for- play opportunities — will be laser focused on what problems these tools solve and how well they solve them." Educate and Grow with AI There have been legal technolo products that had a ton of hype and investment. Some of those fell by the wayside but for some the success became so great, that they pretty much became a requirement for certain types of work. Which will be the future of Legal AI? As consumers of Legal AI, we will decide. We must clearly identify what we are trying to achieve and plan for successful deployment and adoption. We must educate ourselves, focusing on what to skill up for and growing with the technologies as the Legal AI industry matures. Strategizing around the most appropriate business challenge to address with Legal AI and analyzing whether and which of the existing Legal AI products will achieve the results, is the way to success.
