ccording to the Chinese zodiac, 2019 will be the Year of the
Pig. Pigs behave themselves, usually cause no harm to others,
and let's face it, they certainly know how to satisfy ILTAans
(bacon, anyone?). Bacon aside, pigs are often thought of as lazy and
complacent — two things that will NOT describe ILTA in the coming year.
So, looking ahead to 2019, I am pleased to announce several new additions
to the ILTA Events family!
This spring, Women Who Lead will be hosting a one-day conference
in New York focused on personal development, leadership, mentorship,
and education. On the coat-tails of the WWL event, we'll move to involve
more young professionals in legal technolo with their own one-day
event, also in New York. Speakers, timelines, and sponsorships are still
being finalized, and more information will be coming your way in the
very near future.
As exciting as this is for us, I must add, "but wait there's more!"
We'll also be offering a new innovation event twice in 2019. ILTAvation:
Innovation Made Practical, designed to outline and educate on innovation
in practice — not as a catch phrase, but as a matter of practical execution.
This will be held in New York (April) and Toronto (October).
While ringing in the new, we will continue to be focused on
bringing you a high-quality educational experience with LegalSEC in
June, ILTACON in August, and INSIGHT in November. We hope to see
you at one or more of these great events!
