62 More than a third of attendees indicated they have already made purchases since attending ILTACON and another quarter plan to purchase. M E M B E R R E S O U R C E S I LTA is fortunate to have a loyal and passionate group of business partners that annually invest as corporate sponsors. For years, their decision to sponsor with ILTA was made based on long-term relationships and anecdotal feedback about how ILTA helps business partners drive their business. Today, we live in an age of data-driven decisions and ILTA is continually evolving to provide our business partners key metrics that support their decision to invest. The key piece of the annual corporate sponsorship is participation in ILTACON. In November 2018, ILTA commissioned an outside survey to measure the value of the 2018 ILTACON and specifically the buying power of ILTACON attendees. In the coming weeks, we will be distributing an Executive Summary that will contain additional information regarding demographics about our partners and conferences and purchasing power. In advance of this release, please know that nearly all attendees play a role in the purchasing process (95%) with a third being final decision makers. More than a third of attendees indicated they have already made purchases since attending ILTACON and another quarter plan to purchase. More than a third anticipate their company spending will be more than $100,000, for an average of approximately $360,000. Projecting this figure out equates to more than $267M in purchases. • More than a third of attendees have made a purchase since ILTACON • Another 26% represent potential purchases. Either the purchase will be made in the next fiscal year/budget (13%), they are evaluating their options (11%), or are still in the procurement process (4%). • Nearly all of the attendees have buying influences • The majority of the buying influence is in making recommendations (73%) • A third have Final Say for purchases (34%), which increases to 69% for C-Level attendees and 53% for IT Directors Business Development Winter 2018 Round-up Jason Stookey VP, Partner Development Additional key findings from the Executive Summary, which was ILTA commissioned and completed by Exhibit Surveys, owned by the Freeman Company.
