he ILTA membership is wrapping up the 2018 term
with Holiday Socials, early membership renewals,
and steadfast work toward seating the newest force of
ILTA volunteers who will drive the organization's programming
in the year ahead. If your organization has not yet renewed your
membership, don't forget to do so before December 31 to get
maximum savings and extra benefits! Early renewals provide
members with a free copy of the Technolo Survey, an opportunity
to win a free registration to ILTACON, and additional savings that
won't be available after the New Year.
In case you've been busy, here are some exciting things that
happened at the close of this year:
• ILTA released a new membership video called "The Power of
ILTA;"
• The new ILTA Program Planning Council met in Chicago, IL
to set the framework for ILTA education for the year ahead;
• A Call for Volunteers opened for various ILTA volunteer
groups to serve in 2019; and
• Individuals of the Legal Technolo Community came
together for INSIGHT 2018 in London, UK for a full day of
education and networking with colleagues and suppliers.
Continuing the momentum – ILTA will kick off the New Year
with ASCEND – the 2nd Annual meeting of Volunteers, where
various volunteer groups of the organization will come together to
work hard on developing program and education plans for 2019.
ASCEND 2019 will take place in Orlando, FL in January 2019
and will bring together ILTA members and staff to network and
promote overall member engagement and volunteerism. Based
on ILTA's strategic goals, volunteer groups will spend significant
periods of time meeting and planning goals and objectives and
creating plans for the year ahead. If you would like to become an
ILTA volunteer in the future, keep an eye out for open opportunities
and future announcements from the staff!
