2018 ILTA Law Firm Marketing Technology Survey Results
» Social Media: We all want to be liked; the vast majority of respondents say they track numbers
of new followers, likes and shares by social media platform.
You can check out the results of all the survey questions on the following pages and see how
your firm compares.
Looking Ahead
We know that many marketing technology budgets are increasing, that new tools are being
introduced each year, and established systems have evolved to accommodate new needs. These
inaugural survey results give us a glimpse into the creative solutions legal marketers are applying
to meet the challenges of a competitive legal environment. Seeing that nearly 40% of firms are
planning on spending more next year on marketing technology than they did last year, we will be
on the lookout for stories of innovation and success until our next survey.
We didn't have many suggestions for new questions to add to the next survey, but there
was one observation we agree with: it can be a huge challenge to implement technology
solutions within the traditionally resistant culture of a law firm. In that context, these results are
encouraging because it certainly looks like a basic technology stack is taking hold across most
firms. ILTA
