Give a "here is technology we have available that you should use to make your law practice more effective, efficient, etc." speech. That makes you sound like you have something to offer the business (which you most definitely do!). Look around the firm, and I guarantee you will see underutilized technology offerings. This is your chance to show new associates and summer clerks what they are missing out on and, more important, how using certain technologies can help them do their jobs better. Some will listen, some will not, but it doesn't take many enthusiastic and engaged attorneys to get the ball rolling. Remember, today's associates are tomorrow's partners. Tell them stories about how working with IT has benefited the firm's attorneys. Most new and summer associates don't know enough yet about the business of law to care about economics and reducing costs. They primarily care about not screwing up in front of the principals. Let them know how your group personally has helped attorneys solve problems in the past, and how you can help them.
