member resources Product Announcements Aderant announced that Aderant Total Office (formerly Client Profiles) 9.1 SP1 (service pack 1) is now available, giving firms advanced capabilities for case and financial management. New features enable law and professional services firms to improve end-user productivity, increase usability and reduce risk. The new capabilities in Aderant Total Office include split billing, document management enhancements, rich integration with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and user interface improvements. American LegalNet announced the release of Smart Dockets. Smart Dockets provides attorneys and legal assistants with the ability to calculate critical dates and deadlines using court rules anytime, anywhere with an easy to use website or free mobile iPhone/iPad app. With Smart Dockets, users simply choose a court rule set, determine the trigger (e.g., Interrogatories Served) and enter the trigger date to automatically populate rule-based deadlines. Results can be emailed easily as a report (HTML or PDF) and/or as calendar appointments. Apersee announced the addition of new and enhanced features to its popular platform, including expanded searchable text descriptions, a new events calendar and new marketing opportunities. The additions are part of Apersee's continuous development and commitment to offering the most comprehensive resource for connecting legal professionals with the products and service providers they need. Bellefield and LexisNexis have announced that they have entered into a partnership to provide iTimeKeep's state-of-the-art mobile time entry to LexisNexis's Juris law firms. Together, they have developed a tight integration between iTimeKeep and the recently released Juris Suite 2.5, providing attorneys real-time worldwide access to matters and immediate time-entry insertion from anywhere when on their iPads, iPhones and Android devices. and Compiled Services announced added features and improved performance with the release of version 4.6 of the software, including a new document view window, duplicate document warning, faster navigation and better performance when adding large document sets. Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP announced the launch of its subsidiary for e-discovery technology services, Drinker Discovery Solutions, LLC. Drinker Discovery Solutions will leverage powerful, state-of-the-art technology and e-discovery expertise to help clients through all stages of the e-discovery lifecycle. The technology services are provided by Drinker Discovery Solutions' experienced technologists, including analysts and project managers. Exterro unveiled more than 250 upgrades to the Exterro Fusion e-discovery platform. The new advancements deliver greater control over all e-discovery phases and provide expanded capabilities for managing global matters and internal investigations. Exterro Fusion enables both legal and IT teams to establish consistent, repeatable business processes for managing complex caseloads across all EDRM phases. Firmex announced the general availability of its newly upgraded virtual data room solution which provides an enhanced user experience, better administration functionality and more security features to deliver the most user-friendly and secure data room solution on the market. The new user interface provides clear visibility into all folders and documents within a project from one single page, with fewer clicks required to access critical documents. Searchable comments and tags make it easy to source specific documents quickly. And multibrowser support, along with full compatibility with PCs and Macs, gives users on-demand access to critical documents. Biscom, Inc. announced that its Biscom Mobile Fax app for Apple iPad and iPhone, Google Android tablets and phones, and Amazon Kindle Fire devices is now available from the Apple, Android and Amazon marketplaces. Biscom Mobile Fax extends the functionality of Biscom's proven enterprise fax solutions to mobile devices, enabling enterprise users to receive, view and send faxes — such as signature authorizations — anytime and anywhere. iEnvision Technology, Inc. announced the release of Sentinel for WorkSite. Sentinel for WorkSite is designed to monitor and collect data from existing WorkSite document management system (DMS) log files and compare the results to a set of prescribed HP Autonomy guidelines. Sentinel for WorkSite proactively monitors the pulse of the DMS, identifying any out-of-range results. A summary report is created which can be reviewed by both the client and iEnvision-trained and certified technical support personnel. C2C announced that its ArchiveOne Enterprise email archiving and management platform now provides centralized support for private and hybrid cloud storage services. As a result, companies focused on optimized e-discovery, data preservation and disposition can benefit from a comprehensive email archiving solution that features dynamic and consistent policy enforcement for data that's live, residing in Exchange or archived on premise (or archived data stored in the cloud). InterLegis announced a new standalone early case assessment (ECA) module that is offered for free to law firms and corporations. The ECA technology provides legal teams the ability to quickly understand and analyze the contents of collected discovery data prior to full data processing. Once e-discovery data is loaded into the software, users can generate reports on a wealth of information, including metadata, authors, recipients, file types, dates, domains and more. CMS Intelliteach announced the availability of the Guru's Guide, 3rd Edition, a complimentary report that aggregates independent law firm user support and service desk statistics and metrics. The updated and expanded Guru's Guide provides unique benchmark data related to the most supported legal applications, how bringyour-own-device (BYOD) policies affect the helpdesk and an analysis of support ticket "origins" and "day of service." It also provides an analysis of service desk staffing and service quality ratios, both pre- and post-software conversions. IPRO Tech, Inc. announced the release of IPRO Allegro 3.2. Part of the IPRO Enterprise litigation content management platform, IPRO Allegro is an early data assessment tool that allows users to gain a better understanding of key facts, individuals and events related to a case while defensibly reducing the size of data collections before moving on to the costly stages of attorney review.
