PEER TO PEER: THE QUARTERLY MAGAZINE OF ILTA | SUMMER 2017
Lawyers are cautious, and for good reason. Law firms are responsible for
vast troves of highly sensitive data that, if exposed, could have serious
implications for their clients and their reputation. This makes the lives
of IT practitioners serving the legal market especially difficult. They
must convince their firms that a project is safe from additional liability,
regardless of any potential benefits from the project. Because lawyers are
especially adept at finding risks and raising objections, IT departments are
often left fighting an uphill battle.
