A surprising number of these enhancements are available to firms for the maintenance fees they already pay, making dramatic performance and usability enhancements just a maer of upgrading what they own. Data analytics will enable these systems to be more auned to the preferences and history of each user, providing more intelligent and faster responses to common tasks and work processes. Professionals will access work product stored in clients' clouds, on firms' clouds and on-premises, controlled by advanced governance and security systems based on policy. And most of this will happen seamlessly with systems managing the complexities in the background. Integrations and advanced analytics will provide new insights into who has been doing relevant work in the firm, what is happening with clients and counterparties in legal maers on an almost real-time basis, and developments in the law itself. This interactive and always-connected intelligence will be available from anywhere on any device and linked to the firm's core systems and repositories, enabling search across public and firm assets while respecting security and governance. Work product management will become the central productivity interface used by professionals, much as document management has been in the past. P2P We need a new way to refer to this mission-critical technology that manages content and communications in all its forms.
