ILTA WHITE PAPER: JUNE 2015 WWW.ILTANET.ORG Tell us about what's going on with Elite this year. Late last year we welcomed our new Managing Director, Eric Ruud, who came to us from the Thomson Reuters Tax and Accounting group. Eric brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in deploying very large enterprise systems on the corporate side, experience that can directly benefit our clients that face many of the same challenges now. His philosophy is that in a rapidly evolving market with new needs for our clients, it is our job to make sure they have the tools and technology needed to meet new challenges when it comes to finding, winning and working business. Spotlight on Strategic Relationships ILTA's Strategic Relationship Program recognizes the importance of key relationships and creates opportunities for meaningful dialogs to support educational programming, to provide member feedback that informs future product/service development and to ensure ILTA's involvement in standard- setting initiatives. David Smith, ILTA's Strategic Relationship Liaison for Thomson Reuters Elite, chatted with Julia Koski, Manager of Client Relationship Management at Thomson Reuters Elite. In this discussion, they reflect on the long-standing ILTA-Thomson Reuters Elite partnership and how they will continue to expand and improve ILTA member services and benefits through this strong relationship. What products can we expect to see from Elite in 2015? We are very excited to see our Enterprise Business Management Solution vision evolve. Our Business Development Premier (BDP) product helps you win and find new business, and now we have created integration between BDP and our leading financial management offering, 3E. This means lawyers can expand the view they have of a client when developing new business. We are also integrating BDP and 3E with our matter management offering, MatterSphere, all into one interface called Workspace. Not only can you manage your matters through Workspace, you will be able to see information — from a client's matters to their financials — from one screen. With Elite Mobile, a lawyer can do this from anywhere. What are some information- sharing opportunities ILTA members can enjoy with Elite? Elite has a very long history working with ILTA. We know how important it is for ILTA members to be connected with their providers. Our VANTAGE conferences, regional events and webinars are opportunities for networking and learning with Elite staff as well as peers. We also send our clients quarterly magazines and client newsletters that include partner thought leadership articles. Can you give us any information on the future of Enterprise? There is no official end date for Enterprise, and we remain committed to giving our clients at least four years notice prior to stopping support. We are on track to deliver the next feature update for Enterprise in Q1 2016. 33
