Building a Bridge Between IT and Library Services by Greg Lambert, Library and Records Manager at King & Spalding and Scott Preston, CIO at Fulbright and Jaworski T he two of us recently participated in a highly instructive webinar for law librarians on how information technology and library services work together — and don't work together. Its purpose was to attempt to build a bridge between the two groups by highlighting their similarities rather than differences, and by stressing the synergy that could result from a closer working relationship. Our hope is to continue spreading this message, encouraging better business relationships between IT and library team members. Librarians: The Original Knowledge Managers Librarians love to consume information, and for centuries they have understood the need for organization.
