WWW.ILTANET.ORG 75 I open by congratulating the ILTA community for the extraordinary annual conference we experienced in Nashville a few months ago. It was a resounding success, not only in terms of attendance numbers, but also in the level of engagement, participation and feedback around the educational content. All were stellar, and we can move forward having this as our benchmark for future events. In August, the Board announced the publication of our strategic plan that looks ahead through 2017 and beyond. As we worked through the many discussions that resulted in this plan, we recognized that changes impacting our member firms and law departments will also affect our association. With this in mind, the Board acknowledged that upheaval is the "new normal," and we must create an organizational model that can respond to changes as they come. The terms "agile" and "holistic" are often criticized as buzz words, but these two terms concisely communicate our vision for providing educational and networking opportunities across the association. As part of this strategic plan, we are transitioning our volunteer backbone to provide strong support for a more agile, holistic approach to delivering value to our members. Although many of the labels will change, the deep engagement and commitment of our volunteers will continue. By the time this magazine reaches your desk, we will have concluded our annual INSIGHT event in Europe, and the Board is committed to investing in markets outside the U.S., providing support to develop programming that best meets specific needs. We continue to embrace multi- association collaboration, and we applaud the achievements of our sister associations, all of whom continue to deliver great value to professionals across the legal sector. As ever, we applaud our committed volunteer teams who have embraced the desire to work collaboratively in delivering premier programming to you, our members. Our peer connections, the most valuable and valued component of ILTA membership, continue to thrive. I look forward to seeing you at ILTA events, both in-person and virtual, and I'm excited to add to my growing professional and personal network. Tell a friend about ILTA!
