The Communications Technologies Peer Group is front and center with this issue of the magazine, and our timely focus on communications technologies is a reflection of the many challenges that we face in our firms and law departments today. Our explosive mobile fleets provide challenges and opportunities, and the content of this publication reflects our commitment to providing relevant information. The Board of Directors met in mid-November in Austin to continue our process of crafting a strategic plan that will guide the association’s journey over the next few years. It’s a process that continually adapts to meet this evolving organization. Our volunteer leadership will engage in dialogue around many of the concepts that the Board has discussed, as the entire leadership meets for an annual meeting this month. We look forward to reporting the results of our conversations in a formal strategic plan document. As I pen this letter, our first IT compensation survey in over a decade is in progress. Targeted to U.S. law firms, this survey aims to provide aggregate compensation data across T he year has begun with great enthusiasm for developing educational content that meets the needs of our diverse membership. Our peer groups, which underwent realignment last year, are collaborating with our regional leaders and many functions typically found in IT departments. With a large response rate, we’re hopeful to report regionally and by firm size. And we’re currently undergoing our biennial process of nomination and election of our Board of Directors. We’ll be announcing the results of the election in the next edition of the magazine. Enjoy the warming trend as we enter spring, and enjoy your peer connections in ILTA.
