As the industry faces consolidation, clients are cost conscious and have raised their expectations in reducing costs through alternative fee arrangements. In response to these forces, today's modern law firms have to improve operational efficiency and put greater focus on cost control, transparency and structured file management practices. To stay competitive, firms must leverage technology that can help improve productivity while managing shortand long-term costs. These demands create pressure for law firms to be systematic in the way they manage their knowledge base, their workflow processes and their clients, and enterprise search technologies can help create a culture of efficiency.
