77 I L T A N E T . O R G the White House situation room as 9/11 unfolded. Both speakers relayed these incredible stories, and both tied lessons from these stories directly back to how we at our firms can better handle security incident response. It's a session I'll never forget. • Meeting one of my first friends I met through ILTA who now lives in the DC area. While he couldn't make it to all of conference, I did meet up with him on the final day. We had a great conversation and caught up on work, life, and family. After 2.5 years of a pandemic, I no longer take these opportunities for granted! Martha: I agree with Scott. I'll highlight three also: • When I was told we had to close registration not due to the registration deadline but because we were at crowd capacity for the opening-night reception. This meant ILTACON 2022 far exceeded our projections, and the attendance has left ILTA on much sounder financial footing than it has been since the pandemic. As the outgoing co-chair, and an advocate of the value we all get from our ILTA membership, this made me both relieved and ecstatic! • Kicking off the conference before Monday's keynote. It was unbelievable to see all those bodies in seats after the last two years. From this point on, the nerves vanished. I knew they'd be challenges but it'd be a phenomenal week. It was! • The popularity of our workshops and sessions focusing on topics related to diversity and inclusion. ILTACON is a legal-technology conference but sessions and collaboration opportunities focusing on diversity and inclusion have a "seat at the table." Woohoo! Looking forward to ILTACON 2023 The annual International Legal Technology Association Conference (ILTACON) will be held in sunny Orlando, Florida from Sunday, August 20, 2023 through Thursday, August 24, 2023. There we will explore legal technology, trends shaping the industry, analytics and artificial intelligence, information governance, cybersecurity, knowledge management, the future of work, leadership and much more. This is significant as we are returning to Orlando for the first time since 2019 when COVID-19 changed how we go about our daily lives. I hope that you will join us as we come together again at the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Resort, an ideal location which provides a unique conference experience and opportunities to learn and network face-to-face. We are already hard at work planning ILTACON 2023 and looking forward to the amazing programming and sessions ahead! Leading up to the conference, we will review feedback, lessons learned from ILTACON 2022 and ideas submitted from ILTA members to shape the strategic direction of ILTACON 2023. When the time is right and the call is placed, we hope you are planning to join us in creating an exciting and different conference. Stay tuned for more planning activities as we get closer to this exciting event. We look forward to seeing you again soon in Orlando! . ILTA
