ARCHITECTURE FOR DOCUMENTS:
BUILDING DOCUMENT AUTOMATION TOOLS
ENSURE AN APPROPRIATE STANDARD
OF CARE
In many ways, document automation can improve the level of care involved
in creating documents. The manner in which questions are worded and
grouped can help crystallize issues, and tutorials and other annotations can
help ensure the person preparing the form has an understanding of the key
issues and concerns. However, firms should be wary of the temptation to
rely on document automation completely and should have safeguards in
place to ensure there is an appropriate standard of care applied to preparing
documents. Add warnings to the tool itself, and address this concern in
training sessions.
