47 I L T A N E T . O R G emerged. I've had 15 roles in my 20 years here, spanning most functions and business units. My diverse work experiences have made me a flexible, adaptable leader who can tackle any challenge. While there was no single defining moment in my career, participating in an internal post-MBA rotational leadership program exposed me to a variety of business problems and challenges I wouldn't have had exposure to if I hadn't taken the risk of leaving my existing role for a temporary development program in exchange for greater opportunities post-program. What is one of your greatest career acomplishments? One of my greatest career accomplishments to-date was acting as Senior Product Owner managing our first truly global HR system roll-out to over 30 countries in 14 languages while simultaneously designing our operational processes to support the product in run-state using Agile. I had to balance 75,000 miles of international travel annually with raising my ten-month- old son. I'm also proud of my ability to lead a team through the pivot of working completely remotely when COVID happened in the middle of our implementation. What life lessons has your work taught you? Be authentic, be bold, and be present. Never get defensive and stay open-minded. What qualities makes a good leader? Empathetic, collaborative, articulate, intelligent and inclusive. Do you have a life philosophy? Where does it originate and how does it shape who you are? I am very much a "do no harm" person when it comes to my personal life philosophy. Live your life the way you choose as long as it doesn't cause harm (intentional or unintentional) to others. If you do cause harm, recognize it, own it, and make amends. What advice would you give to your younger self? Stop worrying so much and be more patient. Life has a way of working itself out over time. ILTA ILTA has partnered with Shy Alter of ii3, to create an ongoing series of video interviews with ILTAns, technologists, and legal-tangential guests. These engaging, short interviews, hosted via YouTube, showcase new perspectives and topics vital to our ever-changing world. This series, entitled LawFirmWeekly, is a firm management focused news media outlet. Our joint mandate is to create relevant, compelling and instructive - expert driven rich media programming. We produce weekly interview and editorial video programs that are delivered through Youtube and podcast platforms. T U N E I N H E R E
