7 I L T A N E T . O R G Q&A What does legal tech innovation look like to you? James McKenna: Lots of small improvements, automations, and eliminations of frustrations with the occasional Really Big Deal (RBD). Ginevra Saylor: Innovation is all about delighting the client, whether internal or external. So, it starts with taking a client's legal challenge or opportunity, applying existing or building new technolo, and combining it with new processes or a whole new approach to solve that problem Chris Hunt: To me it has very little to do with tech. It's really about reviewing the processes involved and talking with the people involved to understand what they are doing today and how we might be able to improve their processes. Sometimes that might involve a technolo solution Angela Dowd: To me, legal tech innovation is about finding new ways to service the clients faster, better and more efficiently. It is easy to use and seamlessly integrates with other applications and platforms. Jack Thompson: There are significant and fast changes and development which continually impact my race environment which require sprints within the marathon. When upgrades or new products come into the market, is it necessary to innovate just for innovation or is it better to Kara Portwood: To me some of the best legal tech innovation, are simply small improvements that make a huge difference for both clients and lawyers. Chris Boyd: Any tool that, if well-adopted, makes legal services better, faster, and cheaper. Joy Heath Rush: To me, innovation always has to be centered around solving problems. Can't be tech for tech's sake. Innovation means solving old problems in new and better ways and anticipating future problems and solving them before they arise.
