However, some careers were still in the shadows of this innovation wave: the legal profession use to be one of those. I'm a young lawyer and I am aware that our profession is more formal, rigid and difficult to modify, even in Brazil, which is where I live. Maybe because of that, legal technolo took a while to reach it. The universities didn't see how the changes in the Law world are going on and, even today, most of these institutes, which are the first responsible for the young lawyer formation, don't prepare them to face the professional life. The rise of legal tech began with the offices that were living a real change in their work market. The old clients' profile it's a little bit different than actually, in all over the countries. It's clear that every country has a type of legal system and, even they have similarities, they still have differences which came for your own culture. However, all legal market feels the same change, one faster than others, but all feels the client profile changes. The Legal Market Changes First of all it's necessary explain, briefly, how the Brazilian legal system works. In Brazil the law students have to do 5 years of Law in universities, which have theoretical and practice classes. In these one, they learn how to structure, write correctly and choose the best way for finish the contend in your favor. Brazilian cases are mostly litigation (in 2018 they had 78,7 million) and just in the last years the courts have been trying to change this scenario. When they finish the graduation, the law student has to do the Bar Exam, which one test if they are able to practice law. If the person was approved, she/he being a "full" lawyer. In this article we going use lawyer like a professional who doing all legal job, in your general form, because it's how to work in Brazil. In a near past, a person who wants a legal service look out a really good lawyer, this professional would give the amount and number of hours necessary to perform the work and the client pay this amount.
