As the season changes and we spend more time inside reading,
some of our ILTA members share what they've been picking up:

I am nearly finished with

reading Book 3 of the Broken
Earth Series, The Stone Sky, by
N.K. Jemisin. I'm also reading
The Sandman, Vol 6, Fables &
Reflections by Neil Gaiman.

Just finished Data and Goliath:

Data and Control Your World by

Andrew Skurka's Ultimate
Hiker's Gear Guide, Second
Edition. Skurka takes an
approach to his hikes and
guided tours that seems to
take a page or six from project
management... establishing
objectives, doing extensive
research, making gear
decisions based on reasonably
projected worst-case
scenarios...
As an added bonus, it allows
me to live vicariously – some
sections discuss his early
misadventures that informed
his current approach. (Aside:
if you've not seen his National
Geographic video on YouTube,
it's worth a watch for the
humor value alone.)

Eric Mextaxas' Amazing Grace:
William Wilberforce and the
Heroic Campaign to End Slavery.
Fascinating book about the
end of the slave trade and other
horrible practices in England
and other European countries.
For all the criticisms of
Christianity over the centuries,
this is a shining example of
goodness.
